We sometimes play a little game of, “If you could describe _____ in one word, what would it be?” Well, much like the word for the old Braves stadium in Atlanta was “dirty” the word for the Rays stadium would be “quiet.”
I’m not sure if it was because of its dome design (instead of open-air, like our home team of the Phillies), or if it’s because it was relatively dead in terms of attendance when we went, or, -maybe the least likely- the population of older people in Florida doesn’t yell as much, but the stadium was decidedly quiet. I found myself conscious of how loud my kids were being, something that I usually don’t think of at a ball game. That was the lowlight of this ballpark, with everything else ranking higher.

So, if you’ve checked out more than just this post, you’ll know that one of my family’s travel favorites is Disney World. We actually have a trip booked for October and we’re already talking about dining. So, when is the best time to start thinking about restaurants? This may sound crazy, but for my money- 7 months out. Yes, that is SEVEN.
If you are staying on Disney property, you can start making your dining reservations 180 days before your check-in date. Which means you really need to start researching, reading, and deciding where you might want to eat 7 months before you go. We are in the process of narrowing down our choices so that we’re at the ready, when our 180 day mark comes! There are so many things to think about! Continue reading

Arrrrrrr, mateys! Our day at sea!
So, part of the fun of our little baseball park experiment is being able to take fun side trips. And… since we strategically planned this trip to be near some family, this Pirate Cruise was a bonus! Clearwater beach, Florida on the gulf coast is only a hop, skip, and a pirate boat ride away from the Tampa Bay Rays stadium and was a perfect way to spend a morning! Continue reading
